## Monday, October 31st

**2nd Period: Today in class….**

- Today, we spent some time reviewing for our test on projectile motion next class period.
- The problem set was given out in class and can be used to help you study. We went through several of the problems in it together. But the numerical solutions are also attached so you will know if you are getting the problems right.
- The problem set is not required, but again, can be used for practice.

**4th Period: Today in class….**

- Today we started by going over our test on projectile motion. Most of you guys did a great job. For those that would like to do test corrections - please have these done by the end of next week.
- Afterwards, we moved on to Newton's Laws of Motion. We went over the first two laws today. Very much related to Newton's First Law is the proper definition of mass. Remember, mass is a measurement of inertia rather than 'stuff.'
- We were able to look at our first two examples to begin to see the mathematical applications of Newton's Second Law.

## Friday, November 4th

**2nd Period: Today in class…..**

- Today we started our new unit on Newton's Laws of Motion.
- We went over the first two laws today. Very much related to Newton's First Law is the proper definition of mass. Remember, mass is a measurement of inertia rather than 'stuff.'
- We were able to look at our first two examples to begin to see the mathematical applications of Newton's Second Law.

**4th Period: Today in class….**

- Today we looked a bit more at the vector nature of forces. We did examples 3 - 5 to get more practice with this idea. Afterwards, we talked about Newton's Third Law and its applications.
- Towards the end of class, we looked at the launch of 'Apollo 13' to see the three laws of motion applied.
- Our last topic was on the force of gravity before we ended for the day.
