1st Quarter: September 5 - 9
Wednesday, September 7th
Today in class….
- We didn't have a ton of time, due to clubs and a lockdown drill, but we were able to finish our information on the rocks in space.
- We also started to look more closely at Earth's orbit. Surprisingly, we are not the closest to the sun during summer. During the winter, we are closest to the sun and during the summer we are farther away.
- More on this next class!
Friday, September 9th
Today in class…
- After a little review with Kahoot :) We finished talking about what really causes the seasons. Yes, it's the tilt of the Earth, but it also causes the angle of sunlight to change. More direct = more energy and warmer. Less direct (more spread out) = less energy and cooler.
- We started to discuss moon phases but got cut off by our shortened class period.
